Description

Gretyl's ideal home

Gretyl is looking for a fun and engaging home with adopters who will take her on adventures and walks, who will love, play with and train her. She is looking for a calm environment with minimal visitors whilst she is settling in and getting used to her routine. She is a happy friendly girl, who would suit a family with children aged 12 and over who can understand that she is still a pup, to play with her gently, help with training and know when to give her space to rest. Gretyl loves to play and would be happy to live with another playful, energetic and friendly dog, she cannot live with cats or other small furries. She will need basic training, she is a clever bean and is always busy, but will learn with the help of a tasty treat, she will need house training so a private, secure garden is needed. Gretyl may be able to be left alone for up to 2 hours once settled in but this should be introduced slowly once she has had time to get used to her new home and feel comfortable. As Gretyl is 4 months old she will be automatically enrolled into Dog School to learn some of her basic training. She will need to meet her adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes between 7 - 10 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Could you be Gretyl's perfect match?

Fun loving girl Gretyl is a 4 month old Staffy/Beagle cross who is always busy and full of beans. She is a real social butterfly and loves everyone she meets. She loves a fuss and will lean in for more, she won’t stick around for long though, happy to go off and explore and come back when she wants more fusses. She hasn’t quite figured out toys yet, she would rather play with her handlers. This wonderful girl will make a great family member and she is looking for her new home now.

Beagle Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Beagle.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
